FAQs: Information about bareboat chartering SY Flamili

Where is the boat?

Flamili is normally on a mooring in Bristol harbor. We will bring the boat to the Bristol marine outer dock prior to your arrival and meet you there for the orientation.

Where do we park and can we leave the car for the week?

You will be able to leave your car at Bristol marine marina close to the boat. The marina has a surveillance service.

What do we need to bring?

Archipelago Charters provides sheets, pillows, blankets and towels (see equipment list). You need to bring the same items as if you where staying in a hotel, as well as boat apparel of your choice, deck shoes, light foul weather jackets etc.We recommend light weight travel bags that are easily stowed.

What is provided and where can we provision the boat?

All cooking utensils as well as dinnerware are provided (see list). Basic cooking items such as olive oil, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper etc are provided. Also on board will be toilet paper and paper towels as well as garbage bags. There are several good supermarkets and liquor stores in the vicinity of the marina for provisioning.

How long before the time we arrive and the time we take off?

You should plan for a minimum of two hours for a thorough orientation. We do not want to rush you and want to make sure that you are familiar with the boat before departure.

What is expected upon return of the boat?

The boat will be handed to you clean and ready to go with water, diesel and propane tanks full. The holding tank will be empty. We would appreciate if you return the boat reasonably clean with all garbage emptied and sheets and towels in the designated laundry bag. The holding tank must be empty and diesel tank topped off. We will ask you to fill a form indicating any systems or accessories that would be broken or malfunctioning so that we can fix it for our next guest.
